The before and after of this simple refresh in Columbia City is pretty amazing. The customer wanted to keep their cabinet boxes, but was looking for an updated, more modern shaker style cabinet door to modernize their space without getting too modern.
As they were painting the carcasses anyways, we decided to use a paint-grade MDF panel with a shaker panel routed out of the center. This ends up not only being economical, but also offering a solid door that feels luxuriously weighted, and takes paint well. After some hand finishing by our production team, and a beautifully done DIY prime and paint of the boxes and the doors (A+ color choice, too!), we think the final result looks like an entirely new kitchen!
